As the founder and Head Coach, I am dedicated to promoting fun, fitness, and an equitable travel basketball for our athletes in Poughkeepsie, NY. Our mission is to provide equitable access to both local and national basketball opportunities, empowering our student-athletes excel on and off the court. Isabella Rivera "BELLA"
Seventh grader Isabella Rivera (Valley Central PG '30) made her mark at the "Younglife Athletics" NXT 100 Puerto Rico Invitational, shortly after her second high school varsity game. "Bella" was among the nation's top rising stars, facing off against a talented Puerto Rico team, with "Younglife Athletics" ultimately emerging victorious under the leadership of Coach Ty Postell. Instagram (younglife_athletics_) "Bella" (isa_baller8) is a rising Pg/Sg in the class of 2030, distinguished by her remarkable work ethic and anticipated growth spurt. Her promising career is underway as she travels with NY FLIGHT 845 2025!!!

Meet Diamond, an inspiring grassroots activist, organizer, and advocate from the vibrant city of Poughkeepsie! With her wealth of experience and strong community connections, she passionately champions inclusive, innovative programs that empower youth and provide essential support services. Her mission to cultivate trust within the school community is transforming relationships among parents, students, staff, and volunteers. Diamond is unwavering in her commitment to ensuring that every student, family, and teacher in the Poughkeepsie school district and the greater Dutchess County has equitable access to incredible opportunities!
Curtiz Simpson
Coach LUCK
Founder, Head Coach
Meet Curtiz Simpson, also known as Coach Luck. As the Founder of NY FLIGHT 845 INC and head coach of the elite 16U team, Coach Luck has 30 years of coaching experience and has dedicated decades to uplifting the Poughkeepsie community and supporting youth athletes striving for greatness. With a track record of coaching All-Americans Kiah Gillespie, Syd Zambrotta and HBCU Meac Champion Deja Francis, his expertise is evident. He has coached players who went on to play at Universities such as Yale, Columbia, UCONN, Maryland, Michigan, St Johns, FSU, Norfolk State, Ole Miss, Emory, and many more. Some of these ladies went on to play in the WNBA or professionally Overseas.
A proud graduate of Dutchess Community College, he also a Teaching Assistant at Poughkeepsie High School and contributes as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the women's basketball team at Dutchess Community College.
Anthony Drakeford

Meet Coach Drakeford, a retired educator and former head coach for the Poughkeepsie City School. Known for his unwavering commitment and dedication, he champions professional development and growth within the community. With decades of wisdom, experience, and education, Coach Drakeford inspires our youth, staff, and families alike. He holds a Master's degree in Athletic Administration from New York University and a background in Sociology from both Cornell University and Norfolk State.
